Managing Director (Full-Time)
Perseverance Theatre is seeking a Managing Director to partner with new Artistic Director Art Rotch to run this small, professional theatre in beautiful Juneau, Alaska.  The Managing Director works with the Artistic Director, a staff of 9, plus interns, over-hire and contracted employees, and a board of 13.  Perseverance produces a season of 5 Mainstage plays, plus a second stage and special projects, with extensive education and outreach programming on an annual budget of about $1 million.  Expertise with personnel and finance, excellent written and verbal communication skills and passion for making theatre are required.  A strong understanding of fundraising and grant-based development is vital.  Knowledge of the non-profit theatre field, and experience with marketing, board development and endowments is desirable. Technical Director (Full-Time)
Alaska’s Perseverance Theatre seeks an experienced professional to oversee set construction for six Mainstage productions, August to May.  Candidates should have exceptional carpentry, organizational, time management, and personal skills; will enjoy working with volunteers; and be a team player.  Facility with CAD/Vectorworks, welding, and rigging a plus.  The theatre has a new set shop and Juneau has an absolutely breathtaking natural environment featuring snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and the ocean.  Position starts June 1st, 2008.  Salary commensurate with experience, health, four weeks vacation.  Please submit a cover letter, resume, and three references to: Perseverance Theatre, 914 Third Street, Douglas, AK 99824; or email to peter@perseverancetheatre.org; or fax to 907/364-2603.
